Registration & Induction
Transcend will guide and manage the full registration and induction process for participation in the YES Initiative, ensuring a seamless experience for all parties involved. This includes:
- Employer Registration: Assisting with the company’s registration as a YES Employer in collaboration with YES (YES4Youth).
- Candidate Registration:
- Determining the number of YES candidates required based on financial data.
- Collecting and verifying all necessary candidate information.
- Registering candidates on the official YES database.
- Query Management: Handling queries and correspondence throughout the registration process—before, during, and after.
- Induction Coordination: Leading and managing the induction process with YES staff, host companies, and Envusa to ensure clear expectations and alignment from the start.
Transcend provides end-to-end recruitment and hosting support to ensure the successful placement of youth candidates into suitable work environments. Our offering includes:
- Candidate Recruitment & Screening: Transcend sources and screens high-potential YES candidates to ensure the best fit for each role.
- Host Placement Support: Where required, Transcend facilitates the placement of youth candidates at appropriate host companies.
- Predictive Recruitment Technology: We leverage advanced, web-based recruitment tools that:
- Scientifically profile and assess candidates.
- Match and rank candidates based on their potential, predicted performance, and retention likelihood.
- Align candidate selection with the client’s defined success criteria for the role.

MONTHLY MONITORING & IMPLEMENTATION ASSISTANCE
Transcend offers hands-on support to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing compliance throughout the YES program. Our services include:
- Ongoing Program Management: Active intervention and/or management of the YES implementation process.
- Candidate Progress Tracking: Monitoring of candidate progress via the YES mobile application and learning platforms.
- Query Resolution: Timely resolution of queries from host companies and candidates.
- Monthly Reporting: Comprehensive reports detailing candidate progress, attendance, and engagement.
- Ongoing Support: Dedicated email and telephonic support throughout the program cycle.
- Audit Preparation: Assistance with audit requirements specific to the YES B-BBEE pillar.

Enhanced Recognition
Companies can increase their BEE contribution recognition level as follows:
✔️ +1 level for meeting the youth employment target and achieving 2.5% absorption
✔️ +1 level and 3 points for reaching 1.5 times the youth employment target and 5% absorption
✔️ +2 levels for doubling the youth employment target and achieving 5% absorption
The youth employment target is based on the higher of:
✔️ 1.5% of headcount
✔️ 1.5% of NPAT / R55,000; or
✔️ As determined by a table based on revenue
Eligible participants are Black South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35, as defined by the BEE Act.
