Transformation remains very emotive and complex with far-reaching social, economic and even political impact. Discussions on transformation still tend to provoke strong reactions, often with divergent views with key stakeholders, both in business and politics. Transcend recognises the importance of facilitating these conversations so that social distance amongst all stakeholders is reduced.

This approach together with our deep repository of best practice enables us to assist you to successfully implement Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) in a way that is aligned to your business strategy and involves wide stakeholder participation. This acts as a positive foundation towards sustainable transformation and “Getting Transformation Right”.

Transcend is currently a level 2 B-BBEE contributor with 58% Black ownership, and 14% Black Women ownership.

Transcend Corporate Advisors is an adivosry firm BEE provide suport to the BEE teams, the C-suite and the BEE champion.
At Transcend we specialise in transformation solutions at each step of your BEE journey. Transcend Corporate Advisors offer a source of expertise from understanding BEE, to building a plan which makes business sense for your business, and then support to solutions for monitoring and implementation.

Our specialist consultatns focus on aiding our clients to develop a value based view of BEE, social responsibility and socio economic empowerment

Commitment To Transformation

Notwithstanding our continuing transformation efforts within the business, Transcend plays a significant role in building a strong narrative for BEE in South Africa. As part of our delivery methodology, we focus on more than compliance and emphasise sustainability and growth as key components of transformation. Over the last 11 years, Transcend has invested heavily in scholarships and SETA accredited training that has helped to build a significant pool of BEE Champions, who are skilled and equipped to drive transformation in their place of employment. Transcend has and will also continue to support small business both through skills transfer and active involvement through shareholder participation impact the scorecard.

Transcend Talent

Our Solutions include advisory to Multinational Clients, Board restructuring as well as sourcing fiduciaries for Trusts as part of BEE Ownership schemes. In addition, we have placed Non-Executive Directors on Group Boards as well as senior Black talent into corporates, while working with our clients to satisfy the management control pillar of the scorecard.

Our Story

In 2005 Ownership Solutions was founded. The business grew and evolved with the relatively young BEE industry, and in 2008 it merged with another consultancy to become "Transcend". Since then we have grown further to be a leader in the BEE arena - with an experienced and knowledgeable team of professionals driving sustainable transformation across the South African economy.

Through the years Transcend split into two areas of speciality - Transcend Capital, which focuses on ownership advisory and transaction structuring, and Transcend Corporate Advisors, which focuses on advisory across the rest of the BEE scorecard, as well as training.

We have a deep-rooted interest in education and have trained many young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in many business fields. We also continue to run the premier transformation training course, through which we've trained over 7500 professionals to date.

In more recent years, as an enterprise development venture, a Black-owned talent management business; Transcend Talent Management has joined the Trasend stable.

With the close co-operation and the resultant synergies of the Advisory, Capital and Talent businesses, clients receive a bespoke BEE solution that addresses not only compliance but true transformation.
